Inspired by the Figuerie of the Potager du Roi in Versailles, the collection captures the scent of a fig tree at the first light of spring.

Fresh fig leaves and vegetal notes meet deeper woody and earthy accords, reflecting the contrast between sunlight and the shaded greenhouses of the royal gardens.

Rooted in the House’s 17th-century heritage, Figuerie is the first collection conceived under the artistic direction of Hugo Ferroux.

Presented in a refined celadon glass, each piece is finished with Trudon’s iconic gold blazon.

This fragrance finds its soul in the heart of the King's gardens, where fig trees capture the first rays of spring. Like a game of light and shadow, this elegant fragrance is born from a contrast between light and shade, between fresh green notes and deep woody notes.

Figuerie

Louis XIV had a deep passion for figs. Jean de La Quintinie, his gardener, planted more than seven hundred fig trees of different varieties in the royal kitchen garden at the Palace of Versailles to satisfy the King's passion, creating a space specially dedicated to them: the Figuerie. La Quintinie also perfected advanced cultivation techniques, such as espalier cultivation (along walls warmed by the sun) to help the figs ripen more quickly in a climate that could sometimes be quite cold.

Candle Anatomy

The wax formulas of the Trudon candles are the fruit of specific developments which are the source of its exceptional olfactory and burning qualities. When correctly taken care of, no smoke leaves a Trudon candle and no wax is left on the sides of the glass.
The wicks are made of cotton. One can find many types of wicks, characterized by their weaving and their diameter. The wicks are chosen depending on the shape and size of the glasses, as well as the burning characteristics of each candle.
Our emblem is inspired by a bas relief found at the old Royal Wax Manufacture which used to belong to the Trudon family. Situated in Antony, near Paris, it now belongs to the Church. Nowadays the domain hosts the nuns of the Saint-Joseph de Cluny congregation.
Each glass is unique and hand-crafted in Tuscany. Their shape is inspired by champagne buckets.
