Louis XIV, called “The Sun King” was King of France from 1643 to 1715. Eccentric and majestic, as an adolescent he participated in a royal ballet in which he appeared as the sun. He chose the day star as his emblem because it gives life to all things. Louis XIV symbolises the grandeur of France. He made France into a military, political and cultural influence. He instigated the construction of the magnificent Palace of Versailles, which became the residence of the kings of France and their courts starting in 1682.
Originally from Grasse and the son of a perfumer, Emmanuel Philip grew up surrounded by scents and raw materials that would nurture his passion. From an early age, he chose to follow this family legacy, devoting his life to the art of olfactory creation. Together with his wife, who is also a perfumer, he founded his own company, PCA, while collaborating with historic institutions such as Cire Trudon and Carrière Frères, where he places his expertise and sensitivity at the service of new creations.
Curious and rigorous, Emmanuel draws his inspiration from childhood memories, nature, and everyday experiences. He enjoys exploring contrasts and noble materials in search of a perfect balance between authenticity, modernity, and emotion. His work reflects both the French tradition of perfumery and a contemporary, refined, and sensory approach, giving life to unique and timeless creations.
